ALIVIA MAGANA

Photographer, Designer, Fine Artist

Alivia Magana is a photo-based artist residing in Northern New Mexico and Central Kansas. She received her BFA at Kansas State University in 2015 and her MFA at the University of New Mexico in 2019. 

 
Alivia has held many titles including Forensic Photographer, Autopsy Technician, and Death Investigator. Her roles in death investigations have greatly influenced her fine art photography.  
 

 Her artwork has recently been featured in the Analog Forever Magazine, Pasatiempo, and the Southwest Contemporary. She has shown work at the UNM Art Gallery, Light Art Space, Title Gallery, and Ellsworth Gallery. She has worked on photography assignments in collaboration with the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art, Chapman Center for Rural Studies, and the UNM Graduate Art Association.
