
Alivia Magaña is a photo-based artist from Kansas currently residing in Northern New Mexico. She received her BFA at Kansas State University in 2015 and her MFA at the University of New Mexico in 2019.
Alivia is currently a Gallery/PR Manager and Art Director. She has previously worked in death care as a Forensic Photographer, Autopsy Technician, Death Investigator and Production Technician to turn cremated remains into solidified stones.
Alivia has recently been featured in Analog Forever Magazine and the Southwestern Contemporary. She has worked on photography assignments with Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art , Chapman Center for Rural Studies and the UNM Graduate Art Association.
